RML Media grew out of a website I created called Read My Life.
The site brought thoughtful feedback, difficult questions, and stories filled with grief. People wrote about loss, uncertainty in their relationships, and questions they had carried for a long time. Many reached out to ask what they should do.
Reading those messages, I came to understand how much trust it takes to tell someone your story. Often, people were sharing the part of their lives they found hardest to discuss with anyone around them.
I could not answer every question. But those stories taught me the value of listening carefully and giving an experience words. Sometimes, understanding what you are going through is the first step toward deciding what comes next.
As technology and people’s habits changed, I began bringing that work into new forms: books, web apps, and iOS apps. Writing could become easier to access. Feelings could be recorded over time. A complex framework could become something people could explore for themselves.
The format evolved. The purpose behind Read My Life stayed with me.
That is why I named the company RML Media.
Those three letters remind us where we started—and why we keep creating.
